Studio Tours was begun in 1997 by employees of Star Magic, which was the licensing and merchandising subsidiary of ABS-CBN. After some time of disrupted operations, the Tours were revived in March of 2004. On average about 150 people a day and net about P 4m to P 5m a year. They have eight tour guides and 80% of their business comes from schools.
For the tour of the studios, the charge is P110/person. That includes a tour of the TOC (Technical Operations Center), the transmitter, and comes with a guaranteed seat in WOWOWEE after the tour. Many people, though, consider watching the show the highlight of it all.
